Taking sunrise readings with my son, when he was in middle school, was memorable. We were to chart our observations on a graph. We got up early to catch the precise moment when the sun rose in glory over the horizon line!
He was sleepy, grumpy and entirely uncooperative, until the sun showed up. Then we were both forced to sit in hushed silence to enjoy the splendor of the moment. What hope a sunrise brings to the day!
This painting is to remind the viewer that our days are increasing in intensity as we walk with the Lord. One day His light will completely obliterate every trace of darkness!
